Isn’t it always the same thing? You started your latest crochet project yesterday evening on the couch, watching your favorite show, and this morning you felt like you would love to continue it a little bit, by the window, drinking your hot coffee. Yes, but. It’s the morning, and you really don’t have time to run for the needle you forgot, then your pins, then something to take notes on, then… Then you drop it, and you’ll crochet this evening when you come back from work.
I know that story by heart. My craft room is on the 1st floor, and my living room downstairs… Can you guess how many times I go up and down in a single day? Well, it’s cheaper than a gym subscription but…
I started to double my supplies, so I would have one item upstairs and another one downstairs, but it’s not possible for everything (those “clover amour” hooks are awesome but a bit on the expensive side, aren’t they? ^^). Plus, what will happen when the spring calls for a little outdoor crochet session?
Yes, I guess there is always the big workbag answer… But I like to be able to grab everything with one hand while the other one holds my work.
So here is my solution. Her name is Owlivia, the owlganizer. She is a one of a kind amigurumi. A useful one. A professional organizer !
She has a double pocket to hold hooks and pens,…
Holes to fit embroidery scissors,…
And stitch markers,…
Wings for the needles,…
A pincushion head,…
A front pocket to hold small stuff like safety eyes.
And of course a handle to carry her easily.
No need to tell you that I can’t do without her anymore. I already made a second one for upstairs, without handle this time, just to keep all my supplies in one place (she looks a bit naked on this picture without all her stuff !)

Hi Ophelie, Owlivia the owlganizer is a beautiful creation! No matter how hard I try to keep all my crochet supplies together, I always fail! You always forget something like you said. I like the idea of having all my supplies together, organized, & at my fingertips. Plus, Owlivia is so beautiful you will want to put her on display for all to see. The big pink pocket that you see on the front goes on on the back so there is more room to add pens, crochet hooks or even a small notepad (you can see it in the video if you’d like !)
